Speaking before the Alexandria Kiwanis club, across the. CHINA DEMANDS LIFE OF AMERICAN MISSION OFFICIAL (By Associated Press) PEIPING, China, July 16-Execution of Dr.

Francis F. Tucker, treasurer of the William S. Porter Memorial hospital operated by the AmeriBoard of Missions at Techow, SHantung, has been demanded by the Kuomintang in the Techow district as the penalty for the death of a native hospital employee whom Dr. Tucker shot last week in the belief he was a burglar. The Kuomintang asks the physiclan's, immediate arrest and suspension of the activities the mission.

It demands an apology from the American minister and payment of an indemnity to the dead man's family. The American consul at Tsinanfu reported that Dr. Tucker, after a series of burglaries at the hospital, kept a revolver under his pillow on a cot in his office. Last Saturday night was awakened by man who tered the office with a skeleton key. The intruder started to flee when Dr.

Tucker awoke and the physician shot him. Any effort to bring Dr. Tucker to trial in the Chinese courts would be vigorously opposed, legation officials said. Genna's home is directly opposite the apartment building to which as many as 50,000 persons were attracted by the apearance of the figure on the wall. An arc lamp some distance away had been throwing its beams upon a bay window in the Genna home. The window pane, in turn, had reflected the light upon the wall of the apartment, with a lace curtain adding a shadow that resulted in a somewhat dim resemblance of the Madonna and Child.

They denied knowledge of the holdup, in which $6,700 was taken, but admitted they had been in Chattanooga. BUCHANAN MEN SUED The Consolidated Concrete Machinery Corporation today filed suit in the Berrien county circuit against Lyman L. Campbell and Leon J.
