There is a reason they are known as Maligators – as they do enjoy biting and grabbing things with their teeth (hence why they make excellent security and forces' dogs). They require hours of input, sensitive, expert training, and appropriate dog exercise every single day without fail.
If Belgian Malinois are left home alone with nothing to do for hours on end, they'll find something to occupy themselves and chances are you won't like it. They are tolerant of an hour or two alone, but beyond that will need exercise scheduled into their day to get rid of excess energy and avoid destructive behaviors.
